This Sunday is extra special because I've got a fabulous and super special post for y'all this morning - my very first wedding feature! This amazing DIY affair is incredibly near and dear to me, because the oh so beautiful bride just happens to be one of my all time favorite people in the world. I've known Sadaf for over ten years and I can honestly say I wouldn't be the person I am without her love and guidance. So, it goes without saying that it was an incredible honor to stand next to her on her wedding day. Now, I might be a tad biased - but this wedding was beyond GORGEOUS! Every little detail, every paper flower, even the tiny red and orange confetti was carefully designed by Sadaf and Matthew. Talk about a labor of love! Today they are celebrating their one year anniversary and moving into their new little home. I couldn't be happier for them!
Happy Anniversary loves!

From the Bride... It was really important for Matthew and I to have a wedding that reflected who we truly were, trendy, creative and laid back. We both love origami and thought it would be cool to incorporate paper products as our wedding theme and boy did we run with it! We made paper flowers, bouquets, boutonnieres, candle lanterns, and more! We chose to have the bridesmaids in short dresses and the groomsmen without jackets to again set the stage for a more informal event. The ceremony included American tradition where we wrote our own vows and an Iranian Aghd. The reception was cocktail party style with hor dourves drinks, desserts and dancing! We're big foodies and love to cook so we baked our own dessert bar with the exception of the pink champagne cake.
