Happy New Year! xoxo
2012 was an amazing year for me. There were so many milestones and celebrations. To be perfectly honest, with so many little memories wrapped up into 365 days, I don't know how 2013 can contend with such a fabulous year. The future is unknown, but I look forward to new adventures in the new year.
Happy New Year! xoxo

I hope that each and every one of you enjoyed the snowfall on Christmas day, celebrating with family and loved ones. I had a lovely first Christmas with my hubby - with early morning baking, mimosas, cinnamon rolls, stockings, presents, and a fantastic morning preparing for a day filled with merriment.
Best first Christmas! xoxo I wish all of you Dallasites a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. I hope it's filled with lots of love and laughter!
Have a holly jolly Christmas! xoxo I couple weeks ago I was perusing through Anthropologie with Flo, drooling over all their holiday loveliness and dreaming of a white Christmas, with my little apartment filled with all things festive, jolly, and pretty - when I stumbled across their mason jar snow globes! Adorable! Flo and took one look and decided we had to make some of our own. I had a superb time with this little DIY project. Head on over to MadeByFirenze for the how to! There is still time to make one (or two)!
Happy Christmas Eve! xoxo (Finally framing our wedding pictures) With Christmas in 4 days, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to reflect on my week and be grateful and satisfied with all that I have. With so much ugliness in the world I am so thankful for all the little things in my life that make me smile. Today, I am borrowing an idea from one of my favorite blogs of all time (Cupcakes and Cashmere). Enjoy! Have a joyful weekend loves. xoxo (The best beer I've ever tasted) (A 1874 map of Scotland from my love, Mary) (Jackie modeling her new sweater) (A surprise gift from my Darling friend - the Handpainted Still Life Monogram “C” I was wishing for)

If you follow my blog, then you know I L.O.V.E Dowdy Studio. I'm a huge fan of all things unique, quirky, and eclectic. Dowdy is right there with Anthroplogie as one my favorite shopping destinations.
Saturday was their holiday studio party and for those of y'all who didn't show, shame on you because you totally missed out - free beer, snacks, a tee bar, and a merry giveaway! The minute we walked into the studio me and the hubby made a B line to the giveaway, entering to win our very own Dowdy t-shirt to be delivered by Christmas. And just in case Santa's elves don't make it to my doorstep with a holiday package - I ordered myself a custom shirt at their tee bar. A navy blue tee with Shave the Whales printed in white. I call it "The Exploding Pirate". It's pretty snazzy and it's one of kind y'all, that's right ladies and gents I am the only lady with this tee! I also snagged a couple of gifts for some lucky ladies in my life! Can't wait to do some gifting this week! We also headed over to Napkin Arts Studio to check out some of Jonathan's creations. He had some hot Dr. Pepper brewing and some awesome Christmas records playing to get us in a Christmasy mood. While I didn't try any of the hot Dr. Pepper, I did purchase myself some really fabulous ‘Scooter Holiday’ greeting cards. Seriously love me some of his screen printed amazingness. Not to worry if you missed out, the wagon is all around the town and if you're too lazy to track them down, head over to their etsy store and do a little on-line shopping. Be sure to check out Napkin Arts Studio store too! After the monstrous shooting in Connecticut, my heart is breaking for the sweet children, parents, siblings, and heroic teachers of Sandy Hook Elementary. I can't fathom how a human being could be capable of such excruciating devastation. I have such reverence for the teachers who lost their lives and my thoughts are with everyone in CT. I am comforted and grateful for the beautiful people in my life. Today, I am profoundly thankful and I am reminded to hold those I love a little tighter.
This weekend, Texan & artist Lindsay Whitehead from Unraveled Design, is donating 100% of her Etsy proceeds to Newtown Youth & Family Services to help the victims of this terrible event. She designed the gorgeous print above, so be sure to head over to her store and check it out. Sending all my love to Connecticut. xoxo Happy Friday y'all! It's going to be another lovely weekend in Dallas, be sure to check out these local happenings around the city:
