With all this snow and days indoors, it's hard to believe that only a couple of weeks ago I was soaking up the Texas sun with my beautiful friends in my favorite city. A quick visit to Dallas meant a necessary and mandatory trip to Oddfellows. Splitting and sharing fried chicken + honey waffles, sampling (and taking more than my share of) buffalo mac & cheese, and brunching with the loveliest ladies. We had the best waitress and had a ball. Wish I could put this morning on repeat.

Perfect Fridays end with brown paper packages waiting for you at your front door...a tightly packed, rolled up piece of amazingness. So happy to have this print in my home. Isn't it stunning? Check out all of Jonathan's prints here. What an artist! Andy Warhol would be completely impressed. Can't wait to get it framed and hung next to all my other favorite pieces.
Have a lovely weekend! xoxo Sunday, Daddy and I spent the day in Dallas. We breakfasted with my sister at OddFellows - sipping on bloody mary's, mimosas and indulging in chicken and waffles. Later we wandered around the city, enjoyed the museums, and ate old fashioned ice cream sodas. I've always loved Father's Day, and when the day was done I was sad for it to end, and incredibly sad to say goodbye.
It's been such a busy week, so yesterday we took a break and headed over to Deep Ellum for an evening brewery tour. So much fun!
Happy weekending! xoxo We took my nephews to The Dallas Zoo while I'm still in town. It was such a fun day strolling around the zoo and visiting with all the animals. I love spending days with these little boys. Looking forward to another play date at The Dallas Arboretum.
These are my absolute favorite things to do in Dallas. It's going to be bittersweet checking them off my list, but oh-so fun!
If you haven't been to Klyde Warren Park, you seriously need to take a trip downtown. My absolute favorite thing about the park is the rotating food trucks from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. every day!! With one of my most recent obsessions, fabulous catered food out of adorable trucks, I can't help cheating on one of my New Year's resolutions - especially for extra cheesy and super greasy deliciousness. I just love the spectacular convenience + variety of choice; and at Klyde Warren you can spread out your goodies on the lawn or enjoy sitting at one of their pretty lime green park tables. I always look forward to grabbing lunch from Ruthie's and The Butcher's Son. Sandwich amazingness!!
Now, don't worry my lovely readers - I'm still eating clean (the majority of the time) - feasting on kale chips, pure proteins, creamy avocado pasta, and just last night I made frozen yogurt drops. But sometimes you have to enjoy a little treat! Go to the park! xoxo One thing the Dallas Fish Market guarantees you is the luxury of enjoying decadently fresh seafood miles away from the coast. At the center of Downtown Dallas, with its super chic and modern decor, it is just about the coolest place to dine on seafood. I love it so much I've been twice this week, and planning a third trip today!
xoxo Friday night I spent the evening at the Magnolia Hotel with my mother and big sister. This landmark building, with it's iconic Pegasus sign illuminated on top, is located in Downtown Dallas (literally across the street from my apartment). I've stayed here a couple of times and I am always impressed with the staff's hospitality, the spectacular views of the city, and the hotel's amazing perks - such as, late night milk + cookies!
Check back later, for more pics of our girl's weekend! xoxo |
